Sharon Savoy is an icon in the world of Theatre Arts and the Exhibition field of dance. Her competition career spanned over 20 years. She won her first World Exhibition title at the Madison Square Gardens in 1984 and 20 years later ended her competitive career by winning with all first place votes at the 2004 World Exhibition Dance Championships.
She has performed in Hollywood movies, on the Miss America Pageant, at the Kennedy Center and the Sydney Olympics. In her years as a competitor and a performer, she had a first hand personal look at the world of competition and Ballroom, Latin, and Exhibition dancing. Her insight gives us a back stage pass to the behind the scenes world of competition dancers, the judges, and the politics of dance.
